Here are recipes specially created for the

Basic Vanilla Ice Cream
1 quart of Cream or Half & Half*
1 tablespoon vanilla
3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons sugar
*In all recipes, using cream makes a richer creamier
ice cream. Using
Half & Half or part milk and Half & Half makes a lighter
ice cream, but
takes longer to freeze.
Yield: about a quart of smooth and creamy ice cream.
Variations (add to vanilla recipe)
Butter Pecan
Beat softened or melted butter (2 tablespoons)
in with 4 tbs cream and sugar until completely
blended. Add 1/3 cup chopped pecans (plain
or roasted).
Chocolate Chip
Add up to 1⁄2 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate
chips or shaved chocolate.
Coffee
Increase sugar to 1 cup. Dissolve 3 tablespoons
instant coffee in smallest amount of very warm
water. Add to base.
Egg Nog
Add 2 tablespoon brandy and 2 tablespoon rum.
Dash of nutmeg!
Frozen Yogurt
Place 4 cups of flavored or fruited yogurt into
the metal cylinder, then PLAY AND FREEZE™ to
the consistency you desire. Plain yogurt can also
be used, just add 2/3 cup of sugar or 1 cup of
honey. Fruit may be added instead of sweetener,
especially fruits canned in their own juices.
Fruit Sorbet
Pour up to 1 qt of fresh juice into a container,
add sugar to taste, and mix well. Pour into metal
cylinder, PLAY AND FREEZE™ to the consistency
you desire.
Grasshopper
Add 4 tablespoons crème de menthe and 1⁄2 cup
(about 8) crumbled chocolate cookies (sandwich
or wafer type).
Hot Cocoa Ice Cream
Mix 3 to 4 packets of hot cocoa mix with cream or half & half
in a container. Shake well, add to
metal cylinder, PLAY AND FREEZE™.
Juice Slush
Pour up to 2 pints of sweetened or unsweetened juice or a combination
of juices into the metal cylinder, and PLAY AND FREEZE™ to
the
consistency you desire.
Kahlua And Cream
Add 8 tablespoons Kahlua mid-way through freezing.
Macaroon
Crumble about 8 macaroons into cream mixture. Optional: add 1⁄2
teaspoon almond extract; macaroon may be soaked in sherry (about
1⁄2 cup) before adding.
Milk and Jam
Add 4 to 5 tablespoons of your favorite jam to the milk
in a container, shake well. Pour into
metal cylinder then PLAY AND
FREEZE™. Enjoy raspberry,
strawberry etc. ice cream.
Mint Chocolate Chip
Add 1⁄2 teaspoon mint extract and 1/3 cup semi-sweet mini
chocolate chips (or shaved chocolate). Optional: add a few
drops of green food coloring.
Peppermint
Add 1⁄2 cup crushed peppermint candy. Optional: add a few
drops red food coloring and/or 1⁄4 teaspoon
mint extract.
Rum
and Raisin
Soak 4 tablespoons raisins in 4 tablespoons rum
for 30 minutes. Chop raisins, and then return to
rum to continue soaking. Add toward the middle of
freezing process.
Rum
Coconut
Add 4 tablespoons rum and 1⁄2 cup freshly grated coconut.
Toasted Coconut
Add 3⁄4 cup lightly toasted shredded coconut. Optional: add
1⁄2 teaspoon almond extract.

Cut marshmallows and chocolate bar into small pieces, mix with milk
in metal cylinder then PLAY AND FREEZE™. Use Graham crackers
to
scoop ice cream mix.
Coconut and Coconut Almond
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
2 teaspoons vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
4 tablespoons of Coconut Syrup (used to flavor lattes)
Cocunut Almond Variation: add 3 tablespoons
chopped almonds during mixing
Cinnamon Stick Ice Cream
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla
3⁄4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
Strawberry
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
5 Tablespoons of Strawberry Jam
2/3 cup sugar
Hazelnut Chip
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
2 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
4 tablespoons of Hazelnut Syrup
(used to flavor lattes)
4 tablespoons chocolate chips
Peanut Butter Cup
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
1 tablespoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
4 chopped Peanut Butter Cups
Ginger Ice Cream
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
3-4 tbs crystallized or candied ginger,
finely chopped
2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
Cherry and Cherry Chip
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup fresh cherries (pitted and quartered)
Add cherries while mixing after 15 minutes.
Cherry Chip Variation: add 3 tablespoons
chocolate chips during mixing.
Key Lime Ice Cream
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
3⁄4 cup key lime juice
3⁄4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
Peach
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
1 large ripe peach, sliced and pared
2 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
Add peaches after 10 minutes of mixing
Toffee Crunch
1 quart of cream or Half & Half
1 tablespoon vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
2 Heath bars chopped
